Residence on a hillside in Itacaré/BA. The client already had the house on the adjoining lot above, of generous footage, which was being rented a lot throughout the year. The idea was to build a smaller house on the lower lot, both to meet a demand for rent for smaller houses and for family use at times without guests.

A quality of this terrain, with a notable slope, is the stunning view. In the existing house, you can only see the sea and native forest today. Thus, the first decision for the new house was to have its entire roof covered with a garden roof, creating an integrated landscape element from the upper house, and creating a house with superior thermal comfort and acoustic insulation.

A pavilion with simple pillars and slabs, but with an asymmetrical cantilevered pool interrupting the structural pattern and creating an organic element in the discreet set. The pool is in the opposite corner of an existing large Cedar, where we have another cutout in the construction to allow for healthy distance from the tree's roots.
